Last year we had a couple of Great tits in the nest box in our garden> They didn't bother any visitors while feeding the youngsters. Unfortunately it didn't end happy for those little ones, because right after leaving the save nest, they became lunch for a couple of Magpies :-(

This year the nest box has other visitors, that are much more carefull aproaching the nest. I'm curious to see if the Magpies are aware of the opportunity. Hope not!

As long as there was no nest, the Sparrows just sat on the hedge, the feeder or even the garden tabel, but that is different now: As long as I stood for the window with my camera, they didn't want to approach the nest box and disappeared, only returning after I closed the curtains and peeked through a small split. Finally I had my pictures of the youngsters that appear to be almost ready to leave the nest.
